I’m starting to think that Bridal Sessions are a thing of the past. Being from the South, I grew up knowing that a Bridal Session was just a part of the entire wedding photography package. Nowadays, I seldom hear of or see Bridal Sessions. It makes me kind of sad. Brides spend so much time and effort finding that perfect wedding dress…along with the perfect accessories and shoes. How wonderful if the tradition of the Bridal Session was brought back to life…the beautiful dress and accessories captured in pristine condition…the anticipation of the bride looking forward to her wedding day…and just some plain fun of a photo session in an amazing dress! In the course of networking with some fabulous vendors, a couple of us decided to come together for a bridal session. I have to thank Judy of Elite Makeup Artist and Lynn of Creative Florals for the the beautiful makeup and bouquets. Also much thanks to my awesome photographer daughter that agreed to model, and to a beautiful girl and amazing ballerina, Marie Elise…our second model. Alexis’s dress was purchased a few years ago from a small store in Pensacola. It was on the sale rack, and I fell in love with it…purchasing it for some nebulous time in the future that I knew I would use it. The beautiful lace ballerina wedding dress that Marie Elise wore was worn by Judy’s mother on her wedding day…I just love the vintage feel of the lace. I truly enjoyed this styled shoot at Dubois Pioneer Home…it made the perfect backdrop for a bridal session. As you’ll notice in some of the photos…we truly had a great time with this session. I only wish I would’ve had a few more hours to play…time just flies when I’m doing something I love…capturing beautiful images! I hope you love this styled session. And if you’re a bride…consider a bridal session. You’ll love the session!
